If you are creating a new Online article in response to a request made on this page, first check whether a talk page has been created. If appropriate, you may want to simply move the talk page to the article; otherwise, you may want to copy and paste content from the talk page.

If you have no other information to add to the article, simply add the following content:

{{Trail}}{{Empty}}
If possible, provide a more complete trail, e.g., {{Trail|Creatures}} on an article about a creature. Also, try to add a link to the new article on the appropriate parent article, for example, add the new article to Online:Creatures.

Requested Pages[edit]

Please type the name of the page that needs to be created below. A UESP editor will then create the page and update this page accordingly—or provide a link to an existing page on the same topic. Before adding a request here use the search feature to make sure the page does not already exist. We already have several thousand articles for each game.

If you are not willing to first create a draft of the new article, then do not post a request here.

Daggerfall:Disintegrate[edit]

Please, someone help. I do not understand how does the spell "disintegrate" works nor what is the chance for it to succeed. 85.222.170.180, October 7th 2015

Differences between ESO and previous games[edit]

As a brand-new player to ESO, and also a newcomer to MMORPG in general, I have been searching the site for something that would serve as a good intro and outline what to expect after Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. I have found all the specifics I expect from the UESP, but what I had hoped to find here, as it was for the first three in "Differences between ..." is a page that helps bridge the differences between this new gaming experience in ESO, and all the games that came before. I would be willing to help out if, as an FNG, I have anything of value to contribute. I fear that there may be some veteran editors here who aspire to adhere completely to the encyclopedic style and might think it was not worth the effort to add a page that is not strictly along that style, but I feel, as a longtime user of the UESP, that what made it great for me was the information provided in that encyclopedic, high-standards style IN CONJUNCTION WITH the less formal pages that could add a little fun, or a little trivia, or just that basic information that made gameplay that bit more understandable for those who are not yet comfortable in their grasp of the way the machine runs as a whole. I think the page I'm requesting could be the difference between easing into a game and having the patience and faith to keep at it until it becomes comfortable, and giving up because it it so vastly different from what we have had from TES before. To be honest, I HATE ESO right now. Only Dark Souls has made me feel the same level of love and frustration for a game at outset. If we could create a page to make the transition a little less of a shock, it would, I think, reflect well on the site, and I know I cannot be the only person to wish for it in beginning ESO. Thanks, Crayolamanic (talk) 01:31, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Personally I can't see the practical purpose of such a page. ESO is a completely different style of game, meaning the neatly grouped differences on this page really don't apply. TES3, 4 and 5 are all singleplayer RPGs with very similar gameplay; ESO is an MMO, with the full weight of that genre behind it. It can't be directly compared to the main series. What I'd propose instead would be a 'Starting Out' article of some kind, explaining the game to new players without any mention of the older games, to avoid spreading further the misconception that ESO is Skyrim 2. —Legoless (talk) 01:43, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, Legoless, for the quick reply. However you think it would work best, I would be happy to lend a hand, as I said. I can see your point, and as I was sort of expecting a flat dismissal, I am glad that there is some willingness to make an attempt at addressing bridging the gap. Let me know what you would like to do and what I could do to contribute. Anything I may not be able to tackle on my own, I will happily work with any willing editors on, and I think JR will likely give some help here and there with technical stuff; he has offered this kind of distant assistance not long ago. Just give me any direction you can think of, and I will get on it. I'm not wiki-proficient, and new to ESO, but have an aptitude for content writing and editing. Crayolamanic (talk) 23:27, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
Well, you could start by sandboxing some of the difficulties you run into as a newcomer to MMOs, and then maybe an ESO vet could come along and give some tips for starting out? —Legoless (talk) 00:03, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

Skyrim:Iman[edit]

A simple request: during this Skyrim quest, it is revealed that one of the characters, Skyrim:Saadia, is using an alias, and that her real name is Iman. Why not set up Skyrim:Iman as a redirect to Skyrim:Saadia? It'd take about 5 seconds. 73.162.99.166 18:33, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

I can't see the use of it, unless we were to move Saadia to Iman. The only time you hear the name Iman is when talking to her, its not used by Kematu or any other person involved, so the only page that would reasonably require that redirect is the page it would be pointing at. Even for people looking for Iman, they already know her new name, which she keeps after the quest. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 19:03, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
Not to dredge up an old topic, but given that we now have a page, The Scarlet Judge that redirects to Melar Sadus (who has the same sort of situation), this topic may be worth reconsideration. gelza1Talk Cont 22:49, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
That's a bit different, since the NPC called The Scarlet Judge becomes the NPC called Melar Sadus. In Skyrim, there is never an NPC in-game called Iman. --Enodoc (talk) 08:08, 19 June 2017 (UTC)

Oblivion:Merchant Chests[edit]

It would be great to have a list of all merchant chests in Oblivion, complete with their location and how to reach them on both PC and console (if possible). — Unsigned comment by 104.34.21.155 (talk) at 23:58 on 1 October 2016

I don't know any chests off-hand that can be reached by console players (i.e. without use of tlc), so this page would have no relevance to what you experience in the game. Nor is there any use for documenting the contents as they are displayed on the merchants article. The only use I can see for this page is to make it easier for modders to find a chest in order to get its editor id in order to alter the contents. Another reason might be to steal the contents, but seeing as you would be using the console to access the chest, you'd be better off just adding items directly through the console and avoid potential bugs caused by messing around with the chests. In short, the chests are an irrelevance to normal players, and the only useful documentation related to them is on the relevant pages already. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 23:36, 1 October 2016 (UTC)
The merchant chest for fences can be seen without noclip and otherwise go unexplained. A page documenting all of them wouldn't be a bad thing to have, if someone wants to actually assemble the list. —Legoless (talk) 01:10, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
Another option could be to include the locations of the merchant chests on each place page. I'm not sure if this would be needed (because of the points made by The Silencer) but if someone's willing to either assemble a list or put locations on each place page, that could be a good idea. Alliances in Hostile Territories[edit]

Should there be a page for the alliance forces in other alliances' zones in ESO?

For example... Daggerfall Covenant (Pact Territories).? They're essentially a separate "faction", since they are automatically hostile, instead of being friendly. (And even if you are in, say, the Covenant, they will still be hostile to you when you go do story/etc in Stonefalls. I think that makes them potentially pageworthy. (And the alliance pages are full enough of the overarching storyline that anyone searching for information about those particular enemies won't otherwise be able to find them easily). Timeoin (talk) 02:39, 15 October 2017 (UTC)

Black Soul Gem[edit]

Should there be a lore page for this? They appear in Oblivion, Skyrim, and ESO. Timeoin (talk) 22:16, 18 November 2017 (UTC)

Lore: Aedric Artifacts[edit]

Browsing through the pages I had noticed there is not collected lore page for Aedric Artifacts, and no category for Aedric Artifacts. — Unsigned comment by 99.229.96.39 (talk) at 15:57 on 17 December 2017

Artifacts are not categorized anywhere. The only specific page is a redirect for Skyrim because there is a trophy/achievement for collecting them, which goes to the Daedric Quests page. The only other relevant thing is that artifacts are mentioned on each Aedra and Daedric Princes individual page, but other than that there is no Daedric Artifacts, Aedra, or any other type. I don't think those pages would be of much use especially in lore space. They would have some use in game space, such as in Oblivion for the item to give to Martin, as well as the Skyrim page, but that information has been successfully integrated into pages that would exist regardless. Online: API Versions[edit]

Can we have a page with a history of the API versions? Dates/game version/major changes? I don't understand wiki and don't know where to research the details. As a wiki user, i was unable to find what i was looking for...which is the current API version...that i needed for an addon command (FCOItemsaver) — Unsigned comment by 162.252.225.168 (talk) at 23:01 on 23 February 2018

Daggerfall:Soundtrack[edit]

I have created an unofficial LP-like soundtrack for Daggerfall, encompassing all music from the first two games, rendered with a high quality soundfont, and encoded losslessly. I've tried to make it flow as a journey through towns and dungeons and it's all mixed down properly. MIDIs can be a bit unwieldy, especially these days, and Arena and Daggerfall's MIDI organization is a mess, so I wanted an elegant alternative. I'm more than happy to draw up the page and make it look nice, but to be honest I'm a n00b at Wiki editing and I don't even really know if I'm adding this message right. Anyway, download is here: https://app.box.com/shared/static/pzh0py916pj6e50xrzkujqwwmdy2nkql.zip — Unsigned comment by Helegad (talkcontribs) at 19:23 on 30 September 2018‎

Online: Folded Note[edit]

What is this object called a "Folded Note"? I picked it up somewhere in Auridon and dare not use it. It went into Supplies->Trophy in my inventory, and is tagged as a quest starter(unique). What quest does it start? — Unsigned comment by 148.71.59.180 (talk) at 07:12 on 1 June 2019

It starts the quest Real Marines in Silsailen. Also, I am not sure why you asked the question here.--Talyyn (talk) 08:33, 1 June 2019 (UTC)
On reflection, the Folded Note should be linked to the letter. If there is one, in some of the older quests, the "letter" would be a dialogue box.--Talyyn (talk) 08:36, 1 June 2019 (UTC)
There is no "book" text in the log, but there are some logs of such an item. Someone who has it will need to create the page to get the text. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 18:49, 1 June 2019 (UTC)
I'm not sure it is an actual book. I did that quest a few months ago and filled out the quest page and added the dialogue from said note. Some quests, like The Watcher in the Walls and That Which Was Lost, the letter/note is in fact a dialogue which isn't actually a recordable book. In the case of the The Water of the Walls, there was discussion on the discord that the best spot for such quests starters that didn't have a book attached was to record the text on the relevant quest page.
Furthermore, with this particular quest, there are two ways to start it and for some reason it is entirely possible to pick up the note without realizing it and then start and complete the quest from Hanilan. With the Folded Note remaining in your inventory but it can be dropped.--Talyyn (talk) 23:54, 1 June 2019 (UTC)

Easter Eggs[edit]

there should be a page linking or collecting all the easter eggs pages into one.— Unsigned comment by Unifrenchie (talkcontribs) at 03:52 on 21 April 2020

Currently we have the Easter Eggs table template:
But a General:Easter Eggs could work with that on it, though I think more people should discuss it first.

Skyrim: Dragonborn Magic[edit]

Like the Dawnguard DLC, add a page that covers what magics (shouts, spells, passive and active powers, etc.) the Dragonborn DLC added — Unsigned comment by 174.198.166.43 (talk) at 23:06 on 12 April 2021 (UTC)

Morrowind Mod:Morrowind Optimization Patch[edit]

One of the essential Morrowind mods next to Morrowind Mod:Patch for Purists (which already has a page). Not really sure what to say there, but it definitely deserves a page. --Agiletek (talk) 04:32, 30 December 2021 (UTC)

Lore: Aldarch[edit]

An Aldarch is a religious title in Altmer society and seems to be akin to a higher level priest and seem to be of higher rank than Monastics. Aldarchs can have their own guards called Aldarch-Protectors. Perhaps this page can be a more generic page like Lore: Altmer Clergy or something similar. — Unsigned comment by 62.45.242.43 (talk) at 12:32 on 21 January 2022 (UTC)

Imperial Simulacrum[edit]

One of the most important events in the series, but currently the page for this is just a redirect to the wars that occurred during it, which itself is pretty bare bones. This means the information on this central event is split between Lore:Jagar Tharn, Lore:Barenziah, Lore:Eternal Champion, Lore:Uriel_Septim_VII#Imperial_Simulacrum and more. (I'm entirely aware I have the permissions to make a page, but out of my scope for lore knowledge.) --Agiletek (talk) 04:53, 2 January 2023 (UTC)

Online: Dreynis[edit]

A Telvanni portal master who is hiding in Gorne during In a Troubled House. He will appear out of a portal and suspects Garalo Givyn's intentions to take his research notes."

A portal is opened and Dreynis comes out to greet both you and Garalo.

Dreynis: "Ah. Another over-eager pupil seeking to profit from my efforts."
Dreynis: "Could I instead interest you in some fungal tea? No?"
Garalo Givyn: "He seems suspicious. Why don't you speak to him, adventurer? See where he stands?"

Speaking to him to find the notes:

"Visitors! Why, I was starting to get lonely. Two warring legions of Daedra make for poor company, you know.
That worm behind you looks like one of the Givyns, by the curl of his lip. But you're a fresh face. What can I do for you?"
Garalo Givyn is interested in your research on portal magic. He asked me to help him.
"Did he now? Well, most Telvanni try to steal from the best. But Garalo erred in coming to Gorne. Don't you know the nursery rhyme? "Two bantam guars in an alit's den, each came in one piece and left in ten."
You'd better turn around now."
Are you willing to share your research with Garalo Givyn?
"You're welcome to my notes. They're scattered around. If you want to round them up look for a glow. A little spell to help in case I needed to find them again. And ever so pretty!
But my new friends from the Shivering Isles might not like it."
Friends from the Shivering Isles? What do you mean?
"My gift for teleportation magic is just that. A gift, from a Daedra of Sheogorath's realm named Straath. In exchange, I let him and a few legions of his friends come here to revel in the madness of the asylum's insane mages."
Where exactly can we find your notes?
"Oh, Straath's lieutenants likely have my notes. They enjoy the way my thoughts unravel on the page. Perhaps you will, too.
But let me give you two words of advice: First, what Garalo wants isn't worth the price! And second: flatulence!"

Asking more questions before looking for the notes:

Why are there Daedra here?
"Not much of a listener, are you? Adorable.
Gorne is an asylum for the mentally infirm—if you're a mortal. If you're a Daedra sworn to the Prince of Madness, it's a buffet. An opulent feast ripe for the taking!"
So these Daedra are feasting on the madness?
"Feasting, bathing, however you like to think of it. But yes, they slake their appetites with the inmates here. And me, too. Straath saw to that!
Not all of them have the best table manners, of course. They're feuding with one another."
What do you mean, they're feuding?
"You know how it is with eternal beings. "He stole my prisoner." "She gutted my vassal." "He's an embodiment of my sovereign's mania." "She's an avatar for Sheogorath's dementia." And then the blades come out.
Rather tiresome, I must admit."
You mentioned Straath. Who's that?
"My patron! The little finger of the right hand of Sheogorath, the Prince of Madness himself!
All my facility with teleportation magic, I owe to Straath. He taught me how to break my brain in all the right ways."
So Straath is the source of your powers?
"Oh, no. The research I did in teleportation was all my own. He only set me on the right path. Gave me a little trinket to help light the way.
But I shouldn't go on about Straath's secrets. If you wish to know more, just read my notes!"

Once you finish speaking to him, he will depart in a portal:

Dreynis: "Good luck! By which I mean, I hope your deaths are painless! Mostly."
Garalo Givyn: "A hunt it is. Adventurer, scour the island for glowing notes! Meet me in the middle of the estate once you have them."

When you activate the final focus after collecting all the notes, Dreynis will appear and will go inside a portal to try to stop you from taking the prism:

Dreynis: "What? How did you manage this? It seems I underestimated you."
Dreynis: "But I won't allow you take the prism, I won't!"

<Dreynis goes into the portal again.>

Garalo Givyn: "Don't let him get away! Follow him! I just need to catch my breath. Meet me at the docks once you have his prism."

After defeating Straath and going inside Dreynis' study, Dreynis will reveal himself and ask for you to speak to him:

Dreynis: "I've been found. Against all odds and protections. Come, we should talk."

He will be more coherent and sane as he has mustered all his willpower to warn you that giving the prism to Dreynis will do more harm than good.

"It seems you've succeeded where all my previous visitors failed. Most of them fled at the sight of the Daedra, but not you. That's impressive."
You seem different.
"I do? Well, we mustn't waste the opportunity. I beg you, don't give the prism to your mage associate. It warps you. Twists you until you can understand what it shows you.
I thought it a gift from Sheogorath. But what it revealed…."
What did it show you?
"It showed me the sinews of the planes. The strings of magic threading together all existence. Oh, it showed me how to open portals to any corner of reality. But it brought me never-ending unease. Maddening curiosity."
Can't you just get rid of the prism?
"I thought I could set it aside whenever I wanted. But the damage is done. I can't return to the way I was before, even if I wanted to. There's…not much of me left.
Garalo Givyn may be a fool, but he doesn't deserve this. Warn him. Please."

Dreynis will give you a final warning when you take the prism:

Dreynis: "What you have there is incredible, but damned. It corrupted me. It'll do the same to that Givyn mage you're helping."

Speaking to him before going into the portal back to Garalo, he will revert back to his incoherent state:

"Remember, warn Garalo Givyn about the prism. About the….
Oh, who might you be? Ah, my assistant, of course! Come, come, let us explore the folds of time. Nothing but wonder awaits you!"

Online: Prelate Faram[edit]

A prelate who instructed Curate Gadayn to keep visiting families out of the Necropolis in Necrom during Keeper of the Fate:

Ovis Fels: "How can we honor our ancestors if the Necropolis is closed?"
Prelate Faram: "The abbot ordered the closure for your own good, citizen. Curate Gadayn, make sure no one enters."

<Prelate Faram starts walking back inside the Necropolis.>

Curate Gadayn: "Prelate? Oh, of course. No one enters the Necropolis."
Eleth Madon: "The Necropolis is closed? Whoever heard of such a thing?"
Curate Gadayn: "Something about this doesn't feel right."

He will soon find out that Prelate Faram is Blightcrown, the leader of the Hidden Kindred who is responsible for the closing of the Necropolis in order to steal the Fulcrum Obscura:

Prelate Faram: "Ah, the Fulcrum Obscura—wait. Someone approaches, Torvesard. Quick, take the relic!"
Torvesard: "The relic broke! Still, this portion contains the power we need. I leave our guests to you, Blightcrown."
Blightcrown: "The time to hide is over. Behold Blightcrown, most favored priest of Peryite! I leave you with a blessing from the Prince of Pestilence!"

Online: Port Agent Randas[edit]

He is the assistant of Port Master Ulene. You can choose to find him in order to gain access to the Stormwing during Keeper of the Fate:

As you approach Randas who can be found on the coast southeast of Necrom, you can overhear him say:

Port Agent Randas: "Ugh … I don't feel so good. Should have stayed in bed."

Speak to him:

"I usually have this spot all to myself. Well, you can have it today, stranger. I don't feel up to fishing.
Good luck to you. I'm going back to bed."
Port Master Ulene sent me to find you.
"Did she? Not the first time the port master sent someone to fetch me. \n\nBut you can tell her I won't be much help today. I fell ill after inspecting the Stormwing when it arrived in port the other day."
You think something on the Stormwing made you sick?
"Now that you mention it, the air in the lower holds smelled … unhealthy. And the passengers kind of gave me a bad feeling, though I can't rightly say why.
Look, tell the port master I'm sick and can't work today. For once, that's the truth."
I'll tell the port master.

Online: Curate Brerayne[edit]

She will be one of the keepers affected by the contaminated censers during Keeper of the Fate. When you destroy the censer:

Curate Brerayne: "Gadyn? Abbot Ilvel is in danger! Prelate Faram put one of those foul censers in his chamber."

Online: Curate Nedaren[edit]

He will be one of the keepers affected by the contaminated censers during Keeper of the Fate. When you destroy the censer:

Curate Nedaren: "I…I don't know anything about a fulcrum. Please….."

Online: Keeper Cindiri[edit]

She will be one of the keepers affected by the contaminated censers during Keeper of the Fate. When you destroy the censer:

Keeper Cindiri: "They asked so many questions…please, help the others."

Online: Keeper Medyn[edit]

He will be one of the keepers affected by the contaminated censers during Keeper of the Fate. When you destroy the censer:

Keeper Medyn: "No…I know nothing of Prior Durdryn's tomb…leave me be…."

Online: Abbot Ilvel[edit]

He is the abbot of the Necrom Necropolis. You will need to rescue him during Keeper of the Fate. In the chapel, he will be weakened contaminated censers:

Abbot Ilvel: "No … prelate, stop. Fulcrum Obscura? Durdryn's tomb … in the lower catacombs."
Curate Gadayn: "Poor Abbot Ilvel, he's delirious! What did he say about the lower catacombs?"

After you recover the other half of the Fulcrum Obscura, and return to Curate Gadayn. He will be waiting for you with the recently recovering Abbot Ilvel:

Curate Gadayn: "You're back! Look! Abbot Ilvel is awake and feeling much better."
Abbot Ilvel: "Is this the one, Gadayn? You saved many lives, friend. Come, talk with me."

Talk to the Abbot, who will give you the opportunity to explain what happened in the catacombs:

"Young Gadayn told me of your mission for the Prince of Fate. A strange and perilous ally … but I thank you for saving the Necropolis. We owe you our lives.
What happened in the catacombs? Did you find the imposter who called himself Prelate Faram?"
The prelate is actually a Peryite priest named Blightcrown. They got away with part of the relic.
"Interesting. I know Prior Durdryn cavorted with Daedra, but there was no mention of Peryite in any of the chronicles.
At least I see that you recovered the rest of the relic. I have no idea what they think it can do or if it even still functions."
What shoould I do with this piece of the relic?
"Oh, hold onto it, of course. Gadayn said that fate led you to us. I can only assume it was because of the Fulcrum Obscura. It must have a role in whatever trials you must face to save Nirn.
Yes, my young charge told me everything. He does that."
Was there anything else, Abbot Ilvel?
"Just this. I am in no condition to help you recover the relic. None of the keepers are. Well, none except Gadayn. I will send our young curate with you.
Search out these villains, put a stop to their scheme, and recover the Fulcrum Obscura."

After speaking with him, he will ask Gadayn to join this mission:

Abbot Ilvel: "Gadayn, go with this adventurer. Retrieve the stolen piece of Fulcrum Obscura. You need to see more of the world, anyway."
Curate Gadayn: "Go? But … yes, abbot. I'll do it. Friend, a word please?"

If you speak to Ilvel before turning in the quest:

"A great evil reached out to strike at our order. I must know why. Take young Gadayn into your confidence, adventurer. Together, the two of you may find answers and recover the Fulcrum Obscura."

After completing the quest:

"Look after Gadayn, adventurer. He's young and he has seen little of the world. He'll need you to guide and teach him.
I have a feeling that the schemes of Daedric Princes will take you both farther than we can imagine."

The Abbot will be in attendance of the Necrom celebration during Chronicle of Fate, he nudges Curate Gadayn to speak:

Abbot Ilvel: "Well done, curate! With the sacred relic returned, I feel it's safe to once again open the necropolis. Now, why don't you say a few words about your adventures."
Curate Gadayn: "Say a few words? Me?"

Speaking to him before Gadayn:

"Thank you for what you did for us here, traveler. Our honored dead are at peace again. Gadayn, however, is not. I fear I surprised him when I called on him to speak.
Would you talk with Gadayn and set him at ease?"

After speaking to Gadayn, you can speak to him before Leramil:

"I thank you for all you have done for the Necrom Necropolis, champion. But forgive me if I'm even more thankful for how you took Gadayn under your wing. You gave him the chance to meet this terrible test at your side and find his true mettle."

After Gadayn's speech, you can ask him about the Necropolis:

"Well done. I half-expected my young curate to flee the hall rather than speak to this assembly. But he did a magnificent job!
Thank you again for helping Gadayn recover the Fulcrum Obscura. The Necropolis wouldn't be the same without it."
Did all the keepers recover from Blightcrown's sickness?
"Yes, thank the ancestors! Although some of our brethren nearly became permanent residents of the Necropolis before we were able to nurse them back to health.
Things would have been much worse if Gadayn hadn't acted … and teamed up with you."
What's next for the Necrom Necropolis?
"We resume our sacred task—helping our people stay close to the ancestors who have gone before them.
In time, I will join those who sleep below. Who knows? Perhaps Gadayn will be ready to take up my responsibilities when that day comes."

Online: Malsa Favel[edit]

She is a Dark Elf egg tender in Anchre Egg Mine. She will be one of the survivors in Underwritten. You will find her tending to fellow survivor, Barluk.

"Please tell me you're here to rescue us? Barluk's hurt, and I'm a miner, not a healer."

After you exit out of the mine with the kwama queen's glands, she will be outside. Speaking to her before you decide the fate of the mine:

"Without Ulfengar, me and Barluk would have never made it out there. Whatever he chooses to do, I've got his back."

If you choose to convince Ulfengar to help the mine remain open:

"If the foreman is confident about going back into the mine then I am too! Hopefully Cindieth can keep her promise to help, as well.
And thank you so much for pulling us out of there!"

After you convince the remaining workers to continue working with the Consortium, you can find her and her colleagues in the Necrom Fighters Guild:

Foreman Malsa Favel: "Look who it is! Hey, friend, over here!"

Speaking to her as she is now Foreman Malsa Favel after receiving a promotion:

"If it isn't the savior of Anchre themselves! I knew we'd see one another again around Necrom. This city could use someone of your talents!"
Hello, Malesa. You seem to be in a good mood.
"No doubt! Ulfengar and Cindieth have been true to their words, Barluk's back on his feet, and the Consortium saw fit to give us a raise once the mine opens back up!
It's nerve wracking, but in a good way, yeah?"
You aren't scared of reentering Anchre Egg Mine?
"Well, yes and no. I might never be able to look at a kwama the same way again, but Anchre holds good memories too. I'll be more relieved than anything to hear that it is cleared out and that we can step foot in it again."

Online: Barluk[edit]

He is an Orc egg tender at Anchre Egg Mine. He is one of the few survivors and is tended by Malsa Favel:

"If I ever make it out of this mine I'm going to wring the neck of whoever made my sweet kwama go mad. They didn't deserve this!"

After you exit with the kwama queen's glands, he will be outside. Speaking to him before you decide on the fate of the mine:

"The overseer might be right. Hard to forgive the Consortium for leaving us here. But I'd do it all again if it meant I could protect my chitinous little rascals."

If you choose to convince Ulfengar to help the mine remain open:

"Looks like I'll be able to take care of those little critters again after all. If my arm gets better, at any rate.
Thank you for the hand back there. Drinks are on me if we ever run into you again."

After you convince the remaining workers to continue working with the Consortium, you can find him and his colleagues in the Necrom Fighters Guild. He fully recovered from his injuries and has received a promotion:

"Well well, not often do you get to see a hero in the flesh! How are you?"
How are you feeling, Barluk?
"Good! Cindieth made us I was looked after by the best healers the moment we got back to Necrom. The city can be a bit creepy with the death fixation, but their healers know their craft.
And guess what? Ulfengar is making me head of the pens!"
You're not worried about working with the kwama again after your injury?
"Ah, that? Nah. The thing about working with animals is to know they're animals. Can't fault them for lashing out when those cultists broke in. They were likely just as scared as we were!"

Online: Overseer Ulfengar[edit]

He is the overseer at Anchre Egg Mine, and is holding out with the few survivors after the Hidden Kindred caused the kwama to go berserk. As you go deeper in the mine during Underwritten, you will hear him calling out for help:

Overseer Ulfengar: "Is someone down there? Please, help us!"
Cindieth: "Someone's alive? Let's hurry!"

Speaking to him to find out what happened in the mine:

"Now, you are a welcome sight! Please tell me the way out of here is clear! We were starting to lose any hope of escape."
I'm accompanying Cindieth, an auditor sent by the consortium. Who are you?
"Shor's bones! I ask for aid and they send an auditor? At this rate there won't be a mine left to audit! I'm Overseer Ulfengar. The egg tenders behind me are Malsa and Barluk.
We barely managed to escape the kwama, let alone those damned cultists."
Wait, did you say cultists?
"Yes! I sent word days ago asking for more guards. We first saw them sneaking around the mine, but now they've broken in somewhere near the hatchery. They've whipped the kwama into a frenzy and I'm worried they're trying to poison the clutch."
Are there any other survivors?
"Fomesa went looking for survivors down the southern ramp, and egg tender Gine left to scout the southeastern passageways for a way out.
I ended up here with Malsa and Barluk. If there are others alive out there, you'd know better than me."
Both Fomesa and Gine are dead. (If you find their bodies in the mine)
"Ysmir's beard, the both of them? Those cultists need to pay for what they've done! I imagine if you hadn't shown up when you did, the three of us would have surely joined them."
You think the cultists are trying to poison the clutch?
"One of the egg-hands, Gine, noticed young kwama returning to their pens with green slime. A few days later we started spotting cultists skulking about. What better way to poison a clutch than to taint the young ones. But there has to be more to it."
Why do you say that?
"There are plenty other mines across the peninsula. Killing this brood would only be an inconvenience to the Consortium, but yet the cultists are here in full force. I'm certain there must be more to their plan, but I have to look out for the miners."

Once outside:

Cindieth: "Overseer! I'm glad you all made it out. With your expertise and the Queen's pheromone gland, we should be able to reopen the mine in—"
Overseer Ulfengar: "Reopen the mine? After the Consortium left us to die? To Sovngarde with this mine. You've got the Queen's gland. Re-queen the mine yourself. We're leaving!"
Cindieth: "Ulfengar, please reconsider …. Ulfengar?"
Cindieth: "Friend, can you please talk to the overseer? The people of Necrom will starve without this mine!"

Speaking to him on the decision of the fate of the mine:

"If Cindieth had wandered in here alone and gotten herself killed, how long before the consortium sent another to find us? A day? A week?
We're lucky someone of your mettle was nearby. You have my thanks, friend. Truly."
So, you really intend to leave? Cindieth believes without your help, this mine will fail.
"It failed the moment those Consortium horkers chose to ignore my letters!
Does Cindieth really think a queen's gland and some elbow grease will be enough to put that place to rights? You saw what those cultists were doing. It's blighted! Finished!"
The Consortium will try to reopen it. Do you trust them to do it safely without your oversight?
"So, it's my burden, then? Shor's bones, those bastards are just greedy enough to risk it, aren't they?
With a fresh queen's gland…. Bah! No, we'd need an army of egg-hands, alchemists, a staffed garrison. The Consortium would never agree to it."
Here. Take the queen's gland and set your demands. Cindieth will make the Consortium see reason.
"Hmph. Well, I guess we'll find out.
Let me this gland. And tell Cindieth we'll stay on if the Consortium provides all the staff and resources I need. The moment they hedge, I'm leaving and taking Malsa and Barluk with me. Necrom be damned."
You're right to distrust the Consortium. I'll give the gland to Cindieth and tell her you're done.
""
I need to think about this. (Exit out of conversation)

If you convince Ulfengar to stay to help reopen the mine:

Cindieth: "Overseer Ulfengar, I cannot thank you enough for your decision to stay with the mine. I'll make sure the Consortium looks out for you. You have my word!"
Overseer Ulfengar: "Good. You can start by making sure the families of those lost in the mine are properly taken care of."
Cindieth: "Of course. Honoring those lost is the first step towards making things right. The first of many!"

Speaking to him after the quest if you convince him to stay:

"Regardless of what the future holds, I'm glad you wandered by the mine when you did. Too many good people died in there, but the three of us might have joined them. We're grateful that we didn't."
So what does the future hold for you now?
"It'll take some time before the mine can be reopened. We'll need to clear it out. Find a new queen. Hire on replacements.
If they keep me on as overseer, I can see it reopening within a few months. But it's up to the Consortium now."
You still want to be the overseer of the mine?
"You think I trust anyone from the Consortium to do it? No.
We'll need to find better positions for Malsa and Barluk, too. They're young, but they know their stuff. And they deserve the promotion after all that's happened to them."
Do you think Cindieth will be able to keep her promise to help you?
"It's tough to say. Wringing anything out of the Consortium is like squeezing water from a stone. But she seems confident enough.
Timid ones like her are always more dangerous behind a desk, anyway. Some warriors prefer pens to swords."

After you convince the remaining workers to continue working with the Consortium, you can find him and his colleagues in the Necrom Fighters Guild. He can be seen working out a plan with the Fighters Guild to find a way to clear out the mine:

"Hey there, friend! Don't mind me. I'm just planning details on how to clear the mine with the good captain here. A lot of work still ahead of us!"
So Cindieth kept her promise to help the three of you then?
"She did! That waif of an Elf may have been a shivering mess in the mine, but with a quill in her hand she is as fierce as any warrior.
By the time she was done writing up her account of the mine Consortium officials were begging us to stay on!"
They gave in to all your demands?
"All that and a cask of Riften rye if I asked for it, hah! They promoted the two scribs back there which is good because I'll need their help.
And Cindieth even has the Consortium compensating the families of those lost. That's a kind gesture."
So what happens next?
"The good captain here will lead the assault to clear out the tunnels. In the meantime I have Malsa and Barluk recruiting new egg-hands and sourcing a replacement queen.
There's a long road ahead of us, but for once we have all that we need."

He will also be in attendance of the Necrom celebration during Chronicle of Fate:

"Seems your helpful reach went far beyond my egg mine. Can't say I'm surprised. Malsa and Barluk would've been here to congratulate you, but they're busy getting things ready for reopening. So I hope thanks from an old and grateful overseer will do."
How goes work in the mine?
"It's hard work, but we wouldn't have it any other way. And I do enjoy the antics of the scrib!"

Online: Nilphas Drethan's Security Logs[edit]

During A Memory of Mystery, you will encounter a hologram diary of Apostle Nilphas Drethan to look into his motives of betraying Sotha Sil:

"This is a visually recorded journal—one of Seht's inventions that was too flawed to bring to the Clockwork City.
I wonder what the issue with this one? No matter, the only way to understand is to study. I'll keep a record of my time here."
<View first recording.>
"Entry 1. I spent so many years idolizing Seht's perfect creations, but he is a fool. When one machine doesn't work, you don't leave it incomplete. You destroy it and build anew. So why is this imperfect world still standing? Why does Nirn exist?"
<View another recording.>
"Entry 228. Still no documents on why Seht continues to allow a flawed plane to exist. Why allow this broken place to continue? There may be answers within the Probabilis, but Protus refuses to open the doors. Obstinate machine.
I will have answers."
<View another recording.>
"Entry 239. There are no answers. No resolutions. No recorded thoughts or explanations. Nothing!
The Clockwork City exists, as does the Probabilis…maybe this is what I am here to achieve. If Nirn can be fixed, it will be with the Probabilis."
<View another recording.>
"Entry 279. Those Painted Eye fools care only for profit and their leaders are far too simple-minded to double cross me. While they deal with Thoryn and the Laboratory's security, I'll disable Protus.
With the Probabilis, I will make things right."

Online: Servant Keera-Ra[edit]

She is an Argonian Telvanni servant who appears during Tracing Shadows. Speaking to her before Naryu Virian after uncovering the identity of the spy.:

"Please don't distract me. The masters take a dim view of servants that shirk their duties."

After the completion of Tracing Shadows where the spy gets disposed of it:

"Oh gods! A murder! Right outside the assembly! This doesn't bode well. Maybe it's time I find an exit. My family needs the gold, but it's not worth my life."

Online: Mouth Saruse Serethi[edit]

Mouth Saruse Serethi is a Telvanni mouth who delivers a warning to Mouth Vabdru due to his master's recent activities during Spirit of Fate. You will overhear the conversation when you enter Tel Huulen:

Mouth Saruse Serethi: "My master wants you to convey this message to Master Shelreni. The assembly will not tolerate threats or coercion."
Mouth Elar Delvi: "These rumors disturb the other masters. Shelreni must moderate her ambition before the assembly takes action."
Mouth Vabdru: "I will relay your concerns to Master Shelreni."

During Conclave of Fate, she will be conversing with Mouth Elanyu about the gathering of the masters to decide the fate of Master Shelreni:

Mouth Saruse: "Master Marena seemed exhausted. Is she well?"
Mouth Elanyu: "The healers recommended she stay in bed, but she insisted we attend the
Mouth Saruse: "Understandable. As much as our masters despise public appearances, they hate the thought of others gathering without them more."
Mouth Elanyu: "Too bad we're not allowed inside. I was hoping to see what punishment they devise for Master Shelreni."

Speaking to her:

"This is taking forever! Do you think they'll put out some real food soon? Canapes and wine will only keep me going for so long.
We always have a full banquet when the Assembly of Masters meets. I assumed the conclave would be more…opulent."

Online: Mouth Elar Delvi[edit]

Mouth Elar Delvi is a Telvanni mouth to Master Norvora. Both him and Saruse delivers a warning to Mouth Vabdru due to his master's recent activities during Spirit of Fate.

Mouth Elar will appear again in Conclave of Fate where he will be one of the attendants waiting outside to hear of the Telvanni Master's decision to deal with Master Shelreni at Tel Huulen. He will be dragging Curate Gadayn in a conversation:

Meln the Mouthless: "There's Curate Gadayn."
Curate Gadayn: "Really, I must …."
Mouth Elar: "I insist, curate. You do realize I wield considerable influence as Master Norvora's mouth?"
Curate Gadayn: Of course, but ….
Mouth Elar: "I could do much for you and the keepers. Now, tell me. What you think of my book?"
Meln the Mouthless: "That's Master Norvora's mouth. We need to extract Gadayn this instant."

You will have to save Gadayn from this conversation with Mouth Elar. You can attempt to deceive him, or simply intimidate him:

"The curate and I are busy, outsider. I am eager to hear what he thinks of my book, Ancestors of a Humble Mouth. It's a work in progress, but at least two booksellers have expressed interest.
Come back later."
Master Norvora sent me to find you. She requires your immediate assistance.
"How strange. As no one but masters are allowed inside, Master Norvora explicitly told me to wait out here until after the conclave concluded its business."
All right. Do whatever you think is right.
"Just what are you implying, outsider? That Mouth Elar isn't totally loyal to his master? What a ridiculous assertion!
Master Norvora must require her assembly log book. I shall attend to that at once."
[Lie] Well, she was quite insistent that I locate you and tell you to get her spell book.
"Well, obviously Master Norvora needs her spell book. No master should ever meet her peers without being totally prepared. I'll go and fetch it at once."
[Intimidate] I don't think you understand. Leave us. Now!
"How rude! The Ald Isra Committee of Social Decorum will hear about this insult. Of that, you can be sure."

Regardless of any option you chose, he will leave the assembly antechamber and Gadayn will ask to speak to you privately.

Ancient Text: "Incoming tides…endless…endless…"
Ancient Text: "And Fire rained down…"
Ancient Text: "above the moon of Masser…."
Ancient Text: "beyond sweet Oblivion, ensnared within the runes of my dark love…."
This sounds like an NPC by a technicality, rather than by game function; usually this would be classed as a Talking Activator and would probably not get its own page. Noting the spoken words on the quest page should be sufficient. --Enodoc (talk) 19:25, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

Mouth Saruse: "Understandable. As much as our masters despise public appearances, they hate the thought of others gathering without them more."
Mouth Elanyu: "Too bad we're not allowed inside. I was hoping to see what punishment they devise for Master Shelreni."

Speaking to her:

Online: Mouth Omayn[edit]

Online: Zenkif[edit]

He is a member of the Remnants Clan that you will encounter during Forgotten Glories.

You'll find him near a bridge west of the Cenotaph.

Zenkif: "Our fate arrived. we have fallen."

You can start the quest through him:

"You approach a mere shadow, mortal. The Remnants break under the assault of invaders. Perhaps this is our lord's will.
Do you know the Dreamcarvers? The servants of Vaermina? As we speak, they tear apart our fortress, the Cenotaph."
What could the Dreamcarvers want from you?
"The Remnants are…were…blades of Lord Hermaeus Mora. He imbued us with a portion of himself so we could defend his realm. For eons, this pact held.
Now, the Dreamcarvers may take our gifts for themselves."
How could they take your pact?
"We secured the pact inside a space called the Crux. Should the Dreamcarvers enter this space, our gifts become theirs to steal.
Mortal, the invaders cannot gain these powers. Help us purge them from the Cenotaph. We reward aid when given."
I'll help you against the Dreamcarvers and protect your pact.

After agreeing to stop the Dreamcarvers from taking the Crux:

"Any effort you provide puts us in your debt. The Cenotaph lies in the north. Just outside, you will find a group of surviving Remnants. Look for Tyss.
Stay cautious, mortal. The Dreamcarvers attack your mind long before they reach your flesh."
Can you tell me more about the Remnants?
"There was a time when any who walked through Apocrypha knew of us. We patrolled this realm for the thieves of secrets. Our reach extended to the mortal world, where we gathered any wisdom that deserved protection.
We were a force unmatched."
What happened to change that?
"An excellent question. We felt our power wane long before the Dreamcarvers attacked. And now, we can hear so few of our minds. That which connects the Remnants grows silent.
When you reach Tyss outside the Cenotaph, ask her why this has come to be."
Tell me about the attack. / Tell me about the Dreamcarver attack.
"We only know a little. The Dreamcarvers caught us by surprise. They made no sound—no shouting, no crash of shields. Just a sharp feeling of loss as we fell, one by one.
A call came to flee and rally nearby. We did not bother to stop running."
Tell me about yourself.
"Ah, yes. Mortals.
We do not have a yourself. The Remnants are a whole. What we are, what we know, it is all unified. The best descriptor we can use in your language is we."
Didn't you say to ask for Tyss? A name implies an individual.
"We see how the distinction may challenge you. A metaphor of the body often helps the confused.
Mortals have a left and right foot. If we point to one, you could say its name. Yet, they both are part of your body. Such is the case with the Remnants."

After you done speaking with Tyss, Zenkif will arrive to express the futility of reclaiming the fortress and that the Remnants should accept being a dead order:

Zenkif: "Dreamcarvers swarm our fortress. It is theirs now."
Tyss: "While our pact exists, so do the Remnants."
Zenkif: "Stop clinging to a dead order. We must accept our fate."
Tyss: "This mortal can change our fate. Stay here. Tend to the stricken."

Speaking to him before going into the tunnels leading to the Cenotaph:

"We can understand resistance to giving up. A fighting spirit infuses the Remnants to their core.
But we see a difference between struggling against the odds and denying your fate."
You said the Dreamcarvers swarmed the Cenotaph?
"After we fled from the initial assault, we did not heed the call to rally. As our connected minds fell quiet, fear and guilt crept in.
We decided to return and survey our fortress. The Dreamcarvers have only entrenched further."

If you convince Tyss to rebuild the order, Zenkif will join in to rejoin the order:

Zenkif: "They have emerged. And unharmed. What fate comes for our order, then?"
Tyss: "See what we have done—the Cenotaph stands! Our order can rekindle its strength. This proves it."
Zenkif: "Our gifts return and we hear our thoughts once more. Perhaps the Remnants can still serve."

Speaking to him:

"We cannot argue with the facts before us. Remnants struck down by the Dreamcarvers now wake. We can hear each other once again.
Lord Mora sent us a test. Only he can know our fate and we should not try to divine it. Our task is service and faith."

If you convince Tyss to disband the order:

If you convince Tyss to rebuild the Remnants, Zenkif will attend your ceremony at Cipher's Midden during Chronicle of Fate.

Speaking to him:

"For a mortal to help so much, we find it encouraging. Perhaps we cannot understand our fates at first glance. Fighting against the odds could be part of the calculation."
How have the Remnants fared since the attack?
"Our judgement was flawed. We saw an end where only a challenge stood. Now the Remnants find renewed purpose. We shall lift the sword and shield once again."

Online: Urzif[edit]

He is a member of the Remnants clan. He will be used as part of a ritual focus by the Dreamcarvers during Forgotten Glories.

Speaking to him after you free him:

"So alone. We can't hear them. Too quiet. Please, no. Bring them back."
What are you saying?
"We cannot stand being alone. Dreamcarver magic squirms through our mind. It wants our secrets. It wants inside."

After speaking to him, he runs out in pain.

Urzif will be back outside of the Cenotaph when you decide the fate of the Remnants clan.

Ancestral Voice: "The shrine is restored. May your steps be blessed."

After washing away the taint:

Ancestral Voice: "Your work here is done. Move as our breath."

After finishing restoring all the shrines:

Ancestral Voice: "Your work is done, penitent. Go to the center of Torinaan. End this corruption."

Dringoth: "Nirenan, enough with the theatrics. You need to let us in!"
Nirenan: "Dringoth? What are you doing here? Who is with you?"
Nirenan: "And why are there intruders in the roots of the Barrowbough? Dringoth, what have you done?"
Dringoth: "Nothing! I'm trying to help!"

Dominion Emissary: "It arrived on our ship. You'll all be very rich very soon."
Renrijra Pirate: "Then we've got your supplies: weapons, food and drink, medicine ... and protection."

Pact soldiers will be seen at Loriasel near Gerent Kepanuu and Rescued Captives at the north side of the ruins during The Dominion's Alchemist.

Online: Voice of the Hist[edit]

Once you have talked to all three Hist Brothers during The Dream of the Hist, you will hear a voice. The vicecanon is surrounded by green smoke and disappears. The voice beckons you back into the room where you solved the plume puzzle.

Vicecanon Heita-Meen: "What's happening? Everything fades away!"
Voice of the Hist: "Small one, leave the rot-memory. Come to us and speak."

Talk to the Voice of the Hist at the statue. What it says will depend on your choices when talking to the Hist-Brothers.

If you told the correct truth overall:

"Flesh-walkers rarely visit our dreams, small one. The whorls of your thoughts bring warmth to our own.
Soon we awaken, to nourish ourselves back to health. You must leave, or be dashed against our dreams."

If you chose the wrong truth overall:

"A flesh-walker joins our dreams. A welcome diversion, small one, before we rejoin the void.
Though we soon depart, the vicecanon carries our thoughts within her. You must follow, lest we drag you to the void with us."
Where is Vicecanon Heita-Meen?

If you told the correct truths:

"When you quickened our dream, we knew her great purpose and sent her beyond the dream. But you ... we could not send you just yet.
You healed the wounds inflicted by the flesh-walker Ruuvitar, small one. The Hist shall dream of you, always."

Otherwise, if you told the wrong truths:

"You quickened our dream, small one. Yet our memories wither and fade. We must soon follow. We could not stunt the vicecanon's greater purpose, so we sent her beyond the dream."
What will happen to the Hist? To you?

If you told the whole truth:

"In seasons to come, we'll grow and blossom. Our roots will mingle with the withered roots of our brothers. They will heal as we do.
You've made our future whole. Go now, and be blessed."

Otherwise, if the truth that you told were false:

"We rejoin the void, where all roots lead. But the vicecanon carries our thoughts through seasons to come. In time, perhaps she can grow a new Hist, a different Hist from us.
It is not for you to follow us to the void. Go now, and be blessed."

Once you finish talking to the Voice of the Hist, your vision darkens and you wake up back in Shadowfen.

Online: Departed Soldier[edit]

During Gods Save the King, when you enter the first dream, you will overhear one of Jorunn's fallen soldiers scrutinizing the king for causing their deaths:

Departed Soldier: "Look at your soldiers, Jorunn. This is what happened to us. Locked away in some crypt like commoners. No one cared that we died, especially you. We were just pawns for you!"
Jorunn the Skald-King: "No. I respected and cared for each and every one of you. With each of your deaths, I lost brothers and sisters. But we fought for what we all believed in. We fought for our freedom!"
Departed Soldier: "We had families. The day we died for you, we lost our lovers. Our children. You know how it feels, don't you? Yet you didn't care. You threw us out there. You let us be killed by the Akaviri!"

Lore:Martial Arts[edit]

Similar to the Lore:Languages page, a collection of links to pages that describe the martial arts throughout the Elder Scrolls series sorted by their practitioners, and simply naming them if there is no page to link to, would be incredibly useful.

Completed Requests[edit]

Lore:Dunmeris[edit]

Not sure if there is such a page, or if there is I cannot find it. A lot of Dunmeris is taken from Ayleidoon but there are various differences. For example sources for Tel meaning tower seem to be missing and Tel in Ayleidoon means something else. We seem to know what Tel Mora (Tower Forest), Tel Aruhn (Tower Home), Sadrith Mora (Mushroom Forest) etc mean but where is the source that tells us where it came from? A page that collects words from Dunmeris would be very useful I believe. Hunts-for-Wisdom (talk) 09:56, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

Some of this is covered under Ehlnofex Languages, but I'm not sure if that has all that you're looking for. --Enodoc (talk) 10:11, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
While that page is a good starting point (and indeed might make more sense to have them all aggregated like that), it would be nice to have a redirect from searching for Dunmeris, Chimeris etc to that page as well instead of the lore article about the respective race. It also has missing citations for words such as Tel and Sadrith for example. The one for Sadrith points to a source that doesn't mention it. I will try to visit him soon and see if he has a link in his dialogue but not sure I have a saved game for that point where he talks to you Hunts-for-Wisdom (talk) 13:23, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

Oblivion:Rumors[edit]

Seconded. Pages for generic dialogue would be great to have. —Legoless (talk) 22:56, 25 April 2015 (GMT)
Thirded. -damon  talkcontribs 01:19, 26 April 2015 (GMT)
Oblivion: I am willing to help with this page, if somebody gives me a hint how to extract it from the game data.
ESO: I was thinking about creating generic dialogue page for ESO a couple days ago. I found a huge chunk of "rumors" in the game data, although it will need a lot of sorting by zones and quests, I think. Will it?
Skyrim: Naturally, I decided to take a look at the layout of such pages in Oblivion and Skyrim namespaces and found only Quill-Tail's sandbox, which, in my opinion, is ready to be published. Isn't it?
 ~Shuryard (talk) 03:01, 26 April 2015 (GMT)
(edit conflict) I think it's a good idea since a lot of the rumors from the game will never be documented on any pages. In contrast though, many rumors about the characters located in the game and the quests you complete are already on their respective NPC and quest pages. This could lead to some redundancy as plenty of rumors would be repeated for a third time now, such as the rumors about Rohssan seen on both her page and also on A Fighting Chance's page. So I personally think it would be best for the page to stick to (at least initially) the more generic rumors, such as this, along with some of the more generic conversation dialogue, like this that would only ever be documented on a rumors or generic dialogue page. Forfeit (talk) 03:11, 26 April 2015 (GMT)
It's true that the OBNPCRP considers NPC-related rumors to be within the scope of the related NPC pages, but I think a little redundancy is alright for the sake of a complete list. We should definitely have a page for the 'wilderness' rumors at least. That Skyrim sandbox also looks great. As for ESO, what kind of rumors are there? I was under the impression that a lot of spoken dialogue was without subtitles. —Legoless (talk) 18:57, 26 April 2015 (GMT)
That's a good point. Given that the page is going to be a comprehensive list of rumors, it probably would make more sense (and probably be simpler) to just list all the rumors, ignoring any redundancy. I also agree that Quill-Tail's sandbox for generic dialogue looks good enough to launch, even if it's not entirely complete yet. Moving it into the Skyrim namespace will make it more visible to other contributors which will help the page reach completion anyways. Forfeit (talk) 19:59, 26 April 2015 (GMT)

() ESO: Yes, as far as I know, none of the spoken dialogue is subtitled, we still have the text in our mined data though. Those "rumors" are NPCs' reactions on the quest completion, e.g.,

  • "If rumors are to be believed, you saved King Emeric's life. Quite an honor!"
  • "Throne Keeper Farvad says you are Tu'whacca's champion. I hope it is true."
  • "I heard some Redguard woman turned her husband into a dog! Imagine that!"
  • "That Argonian traitor should have been put to the blade. Guildmaster at-Aswala is kinder than I'd have been!"

The list of such reactions, as least those I was able to find so far, is here. It will take some time and effort, but I was thinking it would be great to have them sorted by zone with references to corresponding quests. Wouldn't it? :)  ~Shuryard (talk) 21:19, 26 April 2015 (GMT)

Definitely. I'm happily surprised the text is so easily available. —Legoless (talk) 21:23, 26 April 2015 (GMT)
Only drawback here would be ensuring all different quest options. (There are a LOT of quests with choices). Timeoin (talk) 21:48, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

Lore:Irkngthand[edit]

I was recently editing the lore article on Blackreach and in the process I noticed that Alftand is the only Dwemer ruin it mentions that has a lore specific article. I know that not all in-game places have lore articles and in this case I would agree that neither Mzinchaleft nor Raldbathar need this, but Irkngthand seems like it has enough history to benefit from such an article. It's referenced in Dwemer Inquiries Vol III, has the only known depiction of the snow elves, and was flooded following the theft of the eyes of the Falmer. I am absolutely willing to start this article myself, but as I'm new here, I wanted a second opinion to its necessity before moving forward. Thoughts?Jack of Wabba (talk) 22:01, 1 December 2019 (GMT)

Seeing no objection, I went ahead and made it. Feel free to post questions/comments/concerns/cries of outrage here or on my talk page.Jack of Wabba (talk) 15:31, 3 December 2019 (GMT)
Thank you for making the page. When it comes to ruins and other locations, notability guidelines aren’t very strict so it’s generally okay to create articles for a lot of them. Avanchnzel, Mzinchaleft, Raldbathar, Vardnknd, and Bthardamz are all ruins that come to mind when it comes down to what Dwemer ruins need articles since they really could use them. Lore inconsistencies and Retcons[edit]

User:Zebendal/Sandbox I have created a example of a page I would like to do about the various lore inconsistancies across various elder scrolls games. It will discuss lore inconsistancies and things that were retconned. — Unsigned comment by Zebendal (talkcontribs) at 05:42 on 28 September 2018 (UTC)

I have also worked on this concept. Should be in General space. Overall the best presentation I think would be by release then trying to categorize each kind. Could be launched as a stub whenever. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 05:42, 28 September 2018 (UTC)

Recurring Characters[edit]

In various elder scrolls games, you may come across a familiar face that you met in a previous elder scrolls game such as Neloth who you meet in morrowind and then again in skyrim. Some lesser known NPC's you can completely miss like nelecar who had a completely unknown role in morrowind and you meet him again in skyrim. I would refrain from putting dieties inside the page as its a given that they will likely reappear to give you daedric artifact quests but gods that physically manifest in some form should be noted. For example, in ESO you meet Nocturnal physically, and as well as in skyrim. In Morrowind you meet all of the tribunal (except sotha sil is dead) and in ESO you meet them all alive and well. — Unsigned comment by Zebendal (talkcontribs) at 23:34 on 4 September 2018

Conoon Chodala[edit]

Conoon Chodala was a failed Nerevarine, he plays an important role in the main story of the Morrowind expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online. He can also be found in the Cavern of the Incarnate in TES III - Morrowind. Currently the information about him on this page is quite lacking. With the expansion of his character in ESO, it will make him a much more interesting character for people who play TES III and ESO if they can find more information about him here. Information about his backstory, relation to other characters and such would be quite useful for both ESO and TES III players. — Unsigned comment by BluePwnsU (talkcontribs) at 21:52 on 25 May 2017 (UTC)

Oblivion:Swampy Cave Dry Rock Run[edit]

(edited) I tried to create this page as a redirect to Oblivion:Swampy Cave, as there is a dead-end link on the Oblivion Map (here) directly to that particular cell, but it failed due to matching a blacklist filter, apparently. Either the redirect Oblivion:Swampy Cave Dry Rock Run needs to be created or the map link needs to be piped somehow (not sure how to do the latter). --Fru1tbat (talk) 18:26, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Online:Familiars[edit]

We need a page distinct from Online:Pets for listing summoned creatures. As far as I'm aware, this should consist of the 7(?) creatures from Daedric Summoning and the Dwarven spheres from a certain Veteran monster mask. I don't have the exact names of the creatures or I'd do it myself. —Legoless (talk) 15:08, 18 April 2015 (GMT)

Online:Inventory (or something similar)[edit]

The inventory system of ESO is substantially different to what TES fans are used to, so I think it would be helpful if someone fully familiar with the systems could make a page explaining how it works. What types of items take up a slot and what don't, methods of increasing your "bag size", the penalty to maxing out your inventory, links to the Pack Merchants and Banks pages, that kind of thing. It probably wouldn't set any records for length, but I think it would be of great utility to beginners and vets alike to consolidate what is known on one page. We have Morrowind:Encumbrance, Oblivion:Encumbrance, and Skyrim:Carry Weight, but we don't seem to have a corresponding page for the Online namespace yet. I would draft a page, but I only have first-hand knowledge of the game from beta. Insignificant RevisionsThreatsEvidence 16:26, 21 March 2015 (GMT)

I've made a quick draft here. It's pretty barebones, so I'll leave it to someone else to create the page or not. —Legoless (talk) 17:50, 21 March 2015 (GMT)
I think that's an excellent starting point. I'd add that books, like pets, aren't factored into the inventory. Insignificant RevisionsThreatsEvidence 21:24, 21 March 2015 (GMT)
(edit conflict) I would say that the inventory did not change significantly since beta. If you draft a page, I can help with bringing info up-to-date and also supply images (e.g., 1, 2, 3).   ~Shuryard (talk) 17:51, 21 March 2015 (GMT)
Lego: Just wanted to check whether that draft is ready to go; I don't want to create the page if you're still tinkering with it. If so, we could create the page with it as a base, and then maybe Shuryard and I can pad it out a bit. --Enodoc (talk) 11:32, 23 March 2015 (GMT)
Yep I'm done with that. —Legoless (talk) 22:51, 23 March 2015 (GMT)

Lore:Glossary[edit]

I think it would be good to have a quick, not game-specific glossary of terms used throughout the series. It would be fun to make and give new players a sort of quick-start guide to ES lore. Thanks!

StandardIssue— Unsigned comment by StandardIssue (talkcontribs) at 01:53 on 18 November 2014

The main issue I see with that is just how difficult it would be. I mean, there are thousands of words and a lot of them describe the same exact thing. If you think it would be fun to make, feel free to start it and I'm sure people (Me at least) would help you along with it! :) ~ Ad intellige (talk) 02:33, 18 November 2014 (GMT)
Once upon a time a long, long time ago (before my time), there was a Dictionary section, but it was put through a deletion review and then deleted. Looking at the argument presented by Elliot when he proposed the deletion of the articles, I am in complete agreement. The contents of a dictionary/glossary section would be entirely redundant with what we have elsewhere, and listing terms just for the sake of listing terms is unnecessary. So, I would think that this is something that shouldn't be created. -damon  talkcontribs 02:50, 18 November 2014 (GMT)
Hmmm... I didn't see that. I am definitely in complete agreement though. It is redundant and if someone wants to know more about ES Lore, they can read the in game books, read the online copies of the books here, or use the search function to find a specific topic. ~ Ad intellige (talk) 02:57, 18 November 2014 (GMT)

Online:Druid Fenas[edit]

There is no entry on this npc. He is one of the npcs you will be interacting with during the quest Cursed and Coniferous.

Near Fauns' Thicket, where the three roads intersect, you will find Joslin Coravel and Octin Larouche along with Druid Fenas. When approaching for the first time, the trio will have the following dialogue:

Joslin Coravel: "I'm turning into a tree. A tree, Octin!"
Octin Larouche: "At least your bark is beautiful. I got turned into a floaty orb thing!"
Druid Fenas: "It'd be a lot easier to translate this tablet if I had some quiet."

Speaking to him before Joslin:

"Not now. I'm trying to translate ancient writing off this broken tablet."

After the quest is started, the following dialogue plays:

Joslin Coravel: "This adventurer agreed to help us. Does that help solve our problem?"
Octin Larouche: "An adventurer, ey? That explains the boots"
Druid Fenas: "An adventurer? Come here, I'll tell you how to help"

Talk to Druid Fenas to find out more about the curse.

"It's good of you to offer to help, outsider. Fire and foilage, that's the key to reversing the curse. If we repair what's broken, then the curse will be lifted.
At least, that's what i can make out from the text carved into this stone."
Fire and foilage? What do you mean?
"Heat to prepare the sap, and sap to bind the stone. The inscription mentions those two ingredients at length. I'll send Joslin to an area outside of Embervine. The lava pools there create fire shards — rocks that retain extreme heat."
What do you need me to do?
"Meet Joslin near Embervine. I'll give her a spell to retrieve a fire shard, but she shouldn't touch them herself. Even with the spell, she's too flammable in her current state.
After that, meet Octin near the sacred tree to the north to get the sap."
And what will you be doing?
"I need to continue to work on the translation.
There's something about this text. A word I can't translate. From the way the sentence lines up, it's nothing good. This curse is already potent enough. I'm worried about what else it might do."
I'll go get the fire shard and the sap from the sacred tree.

You can inquire more about the task on hand:

"I hoped that this would be simple, but no. The writing is complex and made all the harder to translate because of the broken stone.
Find Joslin by the lava pools to the east, near Embervine. Then go north to meet Octin by the sacred tree."
How can you read the text? / How can you read the writing?
"It's in an obscure druidic script. Luckily, I've made a study of such writing. This one, however, is different. I have no idea what I was doing with Druid Madena's things.
It would be a lot easier if they hadn't cracked the tablet, I assure you."
Who's Druid Madena?
"An elder in the Stonelore Circle. She used to study the Fauns, but one day she decided she was finished. Left all her equipment behind. These two tried to help themselves to it and look what happened.
But I'll figure out how to break this curse."
Why are you helping Octin and Joslin?
"I resolved to help them before I even knew how this tablet came into their possession. This curse is druidic in nature, so it must be a druid who undoes it. Whatever Joslin and Octin's past intentions, they don't deserve this fate."
What do you mean by only a druid can undo the curse?
"The writing on the tablet is in an ancient druidic script. It would take a Mages Guild wizard too much time to decipher it and understand the process needed to break the curse.
Octin and Joslin don't have long before the change becomes permanent."
But they found the tablet while robbing another druid.
"I know. It's my sincere hope that they'll return the tablet—and anything else they stole—once this ordeal is over.
And hopefully, this will teach them to avoid druidic sites in the future."

Return to Fauns' Thicket, this time closer to the delve than where you found the group originally. Upon arriving, you will hear the following dialogue:

Joslin Coravel: "You want to do what? No. Think it through. Flammable tree bark over here!"
Octin Larouche: "But this will go faster if we break up the fire shard. More shards mean more heat and —"
Druid Fenas: "Ah, the adventurer returns. Bring me the fire shard and the sap, please."

Talk to Druid Fenas to find out how to break the curse.

"You gathered the fire shard and the sap from a sacred tree? Very good. Now we have what we need to perform the ritual.
We just need to find the right spot to perform the ritual. And I'll need your assistance. These two are in no shape to help."
I'll help you. Where do we need to go to perform the ritual?
"Not far. I'll show you. We need to go to the spot where they found the tablet. Once we return it, we can set about restoring it.
The ritual won't be easy. Nothing about curses ever is. Just one more detail and we can get on with this."
What detail is that?
"The items for the ritual. Give them to me. Then i need you to go on ahead and clear a safe path to the spot I marked on your map.
I'll follow with Joslin and Octin when the way is clear and prepare the site for the ritual."
Of course. Here. Take the fire shard and the sacred sap.

Speaking to him again before going inside the ritual site:

"Go. We'll meet you inside.
Just clear a path for us. I don't think either Joslin or Octin will be any help if I need to defend them from something."

Talk to Druid Fenas to learn more about the ritual.

"This is where Octin found and broke the tablet. We'll perform the ritual here.
Let me see ... fire shard, sap, and tablet pieces ... everything's in order. Oh yes, I almost forgot about the warning."
The warning?
"Druid decorum requires that I fully disclose the potential dangers — no matter how unlikely — to any non-druids taking part in a complet and somewhat lethal ritual.
So, you must do exactly as I say. One wrong move and ..."
One wrong move and what?
"And we could be afflicted with the same curse that has befallen Joslin and Octin. The odds of that happening are infinitesimal, but I feel obliged to warn you just the same.
Now, are yo ready to begin?"
I guess so. What do you need me to do?

The dialogue closes and he instructs you how to perform the ritual with setting the fire shard on fire:

Druid Fenas: "Start by setting the fire shard ablaze!"

Speaking to him during the ritual:

"Follow my instructions precisely. You need to ignite the fire shard, heat the sacred tree sap, and reforge the tablet in that order."

After you ignite the fire shard:

Druid Fenas: "Good. Now heat the sap."

After you heat the sap:

Druid Fenas: "Now the most important step. Apply the heated sap to the broken tablet."

Even though you follow the steps of the ritual, the cousins haven't turned back to their original forms:

Druid Fenas: "Well done, my—wait! Why haven't they turned back?"

Once the ritual is complete, you will notice the curse is not broken. Speak to Druid Fenas to find out why.

"You performed the ritual perfectly. The curse should have been lifted. Joslin and Octin should be back to their old selves by now. Unless ....
Oh no. The word I was having trouble translating. I know what it means now."
What are you talking about?
"The tablet. The part I couldn't translate. Now that the tablet is while, I see it. "In fire and foilage born, what is broken, only one to restore." It rhymes better in old druidic.
Don't you see. We can lift the curse — but only for one of them."
How do we choose who to restore?
"I leave that to you. I must keep the power of the ritual flowing until a choice is made.
Talk to both of them, then decide. Will we restore Joslin or Octin to their original forms?"

Now you must decide to break the curse on either Joslin or Octin. You can speak to each of them, and they will each beg you to choose the other.

In both cases, Fenas says the following:

Druid Fenas: "I cannot. The ritual has run its course."
Done! ON:Druid Fenas Thank you for the dialogue compilation The Rim of the Sky (talk) 22:54, 25 December 2022 (UTC)

Online: Sir Balnon[edit]

There is no entry on this npc. He appears after the siege of Vastyr's Cathedral District is over. He will take over the place of Dame Fayda's interactions with Druid Galphen.

After the siege, he will be listening to Druid Galphen's concerns about the status of Dame Fayda:

Druid Galphen: "Please. I'm looking for Dame Fayda. She was with the knights protecting the cathedral district during the attack."
Sir Balnon: "We're still sorting this all out. As soon as I have news about Dame Fayda, I'll send word to you, druid."
Druid Galphen: "I—of course, I understand. After the cathedral collapsed, I just want to know that she's safe. I'll check back later."

Speaking to him at this point:

"What a waste. So many people lost in the attack on the city. And for what? Some ancient druid prophecy?
We're still trying to find everyone who's unaccounted for. I just hope most of them turn up still breathing."

Online: House Mornard Knight[edit]

There is no entry on this npc. In A Sea of Troubles, As you approach Suncleft Cove, you will hear Banneret Corrick speaking to a House Mornard Knight:

Banneret Corrick: "A single Sea Elf bested the lot of you?"
House Mornard Knight: "She hit us like a storm of steel. Didn't kill anyone, though. Just put us in the sand."

During Guardian of Y'ffelon, a House Mornard Knight will come rushing to alert Sir Stefan that the hostages are being held at Cinderwash:

House Mornard Knight: "Sir Stefan! The Firesong hold our folk in Cinderwash, just as you thought. No sign of Archdruid Orlaith though."
Sir Stefan Mornard: "She must be in the temple. Come with me, knight. Friend, I leave the rescue of the captives in your hands!"

After freeing the first captives, a House Mornard Knight will inform them that safety is on the Mad Maiden:

House Mornard Knight: "Good work, mercenary! You townsfolk, head back and find the Mad Maiden. You'll be safe there."
Captive: "Thank you for saving us! The druids hold more prisoners to the southeast."

Shivering: Ghost Fanatic/Fanatic Invaders[edit]

We absolutely need a page on the Ghost Fanatics/Fanatic Invaders (whatever name fits best). Currently, Ghost Fanatic on the Shivering:NPCs page redirects towards Ghosts of Vitharn quest, which is absolutely inadequate towards finding information on the many different Ghost Fanatics. Cslist.uesp.net clearly shows different pages for 10 different Ghost Fanatic, 3 Ghost Fanatic Archers, a Devoted Ghost Fanatic and a 'regular' Fanatic. Additionally, there also exist many different Shivering pages for the different Vitharn Ghosts. My strong recommendation is to use pages like Oblivion:Drothmeri Army, Shivering:Apostle, Oblivion:Boethia's Chosen or variations of the Vitharn Ghosts like the Shivering:Vitharn Ghost Soldier as good examples. It's actually hard to believe there does not even exist a page for it yet. C0rTeZ48 (talk) 00:53, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

It's generally our policy to create NPC pages for cases like these, so I'm not sure how we missed that one. I went ahead and created Shivering:Ghost Fanatics and added just the very basic text described above; you'll have to fill everything else out from there, since those involved in creating pages like that automatically are no longer on the site. For now, I've left Ghost Fanatic and Fanatic Invaders as they are, but Ghost Fanatic should probably be redirected once you've filled the page out more. The Fanatic Invaders page points to the faction of the same name, and because that's a name that's actually used in the game data, I'd suggest we leave that alone.
Also, I think you should have been able to create the page yourself. Was that not the case or did you just come straight here? Robin Hood(talk) 14:30, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
Thank you Robin. No, I wasn't able to make the page myself. I do not have authority to make a new page or something like that. It redirected me to the New Page Request so that's what I did! I see what I can do the coming time, I really have some other stuff I have to attend to first. Thanks! C0rTeZ48 (talk) 19:14, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
If you have a moment, can you try to create Shivering:Test, please, and if you get the error message again, can I ask you to copy-paste it here. As far as I can tell, you should be able to create the page, but if you still can't, then at least the message you get should give me a better idea of what's going on. The only thing I can think of is if you made a typo in "Shivering:" then you would've been trying to create a page in main space, and that definitely would've gotten blocked. Thanks! Online:Master Marena[edit]

She is a Telvanni Master who will be taken advantage by Master Shelreni during Conclave of Fate. Meln will use his magic to figure out what happened in the meeting room to find out what happened:

Meln the Mouthless: "That's pure essence of dream. Let me cast a spell to see what happened here."
Master Marena: "What … what was that?"
Master Shelreni: "Just a little gift from the Prince of Dreams. Soon you will do exactly as I say."
Master Marena: "You … you won't get away with this."
Master Shelreni: "I already have. And with your help, I'll get away with so much more. Now let's go attend the conclave. My ascension requires participants—willing or otherwise."
Meln the Mouthless: "We must get to the conclave! It's held in the masters' private hall to the north."

When you head to the conclave's private hall, you will arrive above it in an elevated position. Master Shelreni will be in the center of the room, in front of a lectern. Magister Gothren will be across from her, on an raised platform. Shelreni will make her move mid-trial, and use her magic to trap Master Marena. Once more, you will need ghost sight to find something invisible:

Magister Gothren: "Master Shelreni, you stand accused of conspiring against your fellow Telvanni, murdering Meln the Mouthless, and consorting with Daedric Princes. How do you plead?"
Master Shelreni: "A Telvanni doesn't plead. But I will kill you all before I take my sacrifice and depart."
Master Marena: "Help me, magister!"
Magister Gothren: "Shelreni! Cease your actions this instant!"
Meln the Mouthless: "Use my ghost sight to disable the wards and get down there!"

Arena and Daggerfall Individual Artifact Articles[edit]

I was not prevented to by the website itself, but it's more of a skill issue. Anyways, I hate working with tables and formatting, was wondering if anyone could make individual pages for the Arena:Artifacts and Daggerfall:Artifacts pages. They are important enough to warrant a regular single page per artifact, and Morrowind and other gamespaces already have them for their artifacts as well.--Zebendal (talk) 06:23, 25 December 2023 (UTC)

Skyrim:Time[edit]

I am willing to help if able (semi-limited as I am using 360--no access to game files--and don't know how to code), but a page concerning the passage of time, as well as which effects are using which time scale:

  • Divine Blessings are 8 or 11 hour (subject to necromage) real-time hours

==>Calculated from in-game time passed (when fast traveling/waiting)

  • Blood of the Ancients lasts for (x) in-game days
  • Potion effects and familiar summons are calculated using real-time

==>Also calculated using in-game time as "Slow Time shout" effects potion timers

There is a page for Oblivion, but not one for Skyrim and the information is off.

  • Oblivion day start/end is 6am/8pm (taken from 'Oblivion:Time' page)
  • Skyrim day start/end is 5am/7pm

Are time scales still the same (where 2 seconds real-time is 1 minute game-time)? Would also be handy to have a small table calculating in game hours, days, weeks to real time, as well as "real time" passed when waiting/sleeping in-game. Possibly also time used for fast travel (takes x time per y distance)?

Finally, there are a few effects which also effect time, such as the aforementioned shout (3 different magnitudes and durations; one for each word) as well as Vampire Lord's Supernatural Reflexes power. The alteration perk 'Stability' also seems to have an effect on some aspects of time, if nothing more than extending timers or the duration of the Slow Time shout, etc. — Unsigned comment by 96.60.149.101 (talk) at 00:20 on 12 June 2015

Lore: Currency[edit]

A page detailing the various currencies referenced in the series lore and games. eg Drakes used in ESO are referenced in oblivion, septims have had differing values between games (maybe not super deep lore info but still interesting)

Lore:Imperial Battle College[edit]

This is mentioned in a few places and was apparently supposed to appear in Oblivion (as I'm sure everyone is already aware). Would be nice to have a page gathering all the scant information in one place and info on anything cut from Oblivion relating to it (or any other game if there even was anything else). 30 December 2021 — Unsigned comment by Vanders (talkcontribs) at 01:03 on 30 December 2021 (UTC)
