The Elder Scrolls Online v3.0.2 is an incremental patch for the PTS that has several fixes and adjustments for Medals in Battlegrounds, Vvardenfell quests, the Halls of Fabrication, and more tweaks for the Warden class. We've also continued to add more final music and VO to Morrowind, and have made more gameplay balance adjustments affecting Nightblades, Sorcerers, and Templars. In this patch, we've copied all PC/Mac European megaserver characters; max-level character templates are still available for use. This patch is approximately 277MB in size.
Thanks to everyone for all your feedback and bug reports so far, both in-game and via threads on the forums. We sincerely appreciate it.

- Death Recap entries may be missing icons and attacker names. This will be resolved in a future PTS patch.

Alliance War & PVP[edit]
Battlegrounds
- Fixed an issue where you could not earn the Medal for killing a flag carrier multiple times.
- Removed the medal for killing 5 flag carriers and 10 flag carriers in a Capture the Flag match.
- Adjusted the values for earning 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 flag capture Medals so you will now earn these Medals independently.
- Kills in Deathmatch Battlegrounds now earn 15 points per kill instead of 10 points.
- Domination capture points will now capture slightly slower.
- Fixed an issue where Battlegrounds reward mails would not match your team's performance within the battleground.
Battlegrounds Achievements
- Most Battlegrounds achievements are now enabled.
- Please see the Known Issues section for a few known issues with these new achievements.
- Adjusted and clarified the text for several Battlegrounds achievements.
- Adjusted the point value for the Pit Hero achievement to 15 from 10.

General
- Continued to add music to special moments throughout Vvardenfell.
- Fixed an issue where some VO had incorrect audio in Battlegrounds.
- Adjusted the types of situations that trigger Battleground VO.
- Fixed an issue where some types of sounds were not playing for their full duration.
- Decreased the frequency of sounds from the Feral Guardian's summoned bear.
- Some NPCs who were being tortured were much too friendly. Their punishment was severe, and they will no longer greet you.

- Animal Companions
- Dive: This ability and its morphs now have the damage icon in their tooltip header.
- Wild Guardian (Feral Guardian): Fixed an issue where this morph's Crushing Swipe attack was dealing Magic Damage instead of Physical Damage.
- Green Balance
- Corrupting Pollen (Healing Seed morph): Fixed an issue where this morph was pulling enemies out of sneak or invisibility.
- Fungal Growth: This ability and its morphs now have the healer icon in their tooltip header.
- Lotus Flower: Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs would heal on every tick of a Lightning or Restoration Staff Heavy Attack.
- Maturation: This passive ability now grants Minor Toughness when healing yourself or an ally with any heal, instead of only a Green Balance heal.
- Developer Comments: This change was originally intended to be paired with the duration reduction in the last PTS patch. Allowing Wardens to trigger this passive proc on any heal gives them more flexibility in their healing ability choices, and adds another “global” passive to their class skill lines.
- Secluded Grove: The tree visuals created by this ability and its morphs will now be culled if your camera clips into them.
- Soothing Spores (Fungal Growth morph): Fixed an issue where the heal from this morph was critically striking based on your Spell Critical instead of your Weapon Critical.
Monster Abilities
- Nix-Ox
- Acid Spray will now target you more aggressively.

- Corrected several issues with cooking fires in Vvardenfell.
- Fixed an issue that prevented certain chapters of the Bouyant Armiger motif from counting toward the Bouyant Armiger Style Master achievement.
- Fixed an issue where reading the full Buoyant Armiger style motif book would not complete the book collection in the Lore Library.

Halls of Fabrication Trial
- General
- Fixed an issue where the location of other player characters would shows as being off the map.
- All bosses now grant the correct leaderboard reward points.
- Pinnacle Fabricant
- You can no longer attack the Pinnacle Fabricant with impunity from the entryway.
- Archcustodian
- Calefactors and Dissectors that appear in the Transport Circuit will briefly be immune while they materialize.
- Increased the health of the Archcustodian in Veteran difficulty.
- The Optimize Automata effect, which is granted to Dissectors and Calefactors, will now grant a Damage Shield and increase the damage they do more rapidly in Veteran difficulty.
- Refabrication Committee
- Ruined Factotum's Catastrophic Discharge will now do more damage in Veteran difficulty.
- The Reactor, Reclaimer, and Reducer will now increase their damage more rapidly when in close proximity to each other in Veteran difficulty.
- Assembly General
- Tactical Facsimiles created from Warden players will no longer use Natures Grasp on the Assembly General.
- The Assembly General's Truncating and Enkindling Arms will no longer activate if no one is within range.
- Bombard can no longer be reflected or absorbed.
- Fixed an issue where the visual effects from Toxic Coolant would cause performance issues.
- Terminals are now immune to damage and abilities until fully visible and in-place.
- The Assembly General will now behave properly when turning and moving.
- Uppercut can no longer be dodged.
- Uppercut's Blunt Force Trauma effect will now increase the damage from stomp more severely and last longer.
- Uppercut will no longer hit targets outside the trench.
- An Uppercut that results in you being knocked into a wall will now cause your character to die.
- Tactical Facsimiles created from Dragonknights will now cause you to become off balance when hit by Lava Whip.
- Tactical Facsimiles which use Frost and Shock staves will use the correct visual effects.
- Tactical Facsimiles which use Two-Handed weapons will now cast Dizzying Swing.
- Tactical Facsimiles which use Two-Handed weapons are now the same size as other Tactical Facsimiles.
- Tactical Facsimiles which are unarmed can now Heavy Attack.
- Tactical Facsimiles are now immune to damage as they materialize.

- Fixed an issue where urns in ancestral tombs would fail to provide their tomb-specific loot.

- The tooltip for the Racer Plume Quill stolen treasure now correctly indicates that it is a Treasure.

Item Sets
- Changed the overall style for the dropped item sets available in Vvardenfell.

- The Defiler set now drops in the Hlaalu style instead of Ashlander.
- The Warrior-Poet set now drops in the Redoran style instead of Bouyant Armiger.
- The appearances previously used by the Defiler and Warrior-Poet sets are still available as crafting motifs, obtained by participating in Vvardenfell content. The appearance used by the War Maiden set will not be available as a motif with Morrowind.
- Defiler: Fixed an issue where this Item Set could trigger on Critical Strikes with heals, instead of only Critical Strikes with damage.
Housing[edit]
Furnishings
- Fixed an issue where the Lessons of Vivec did not have proper purchase requirements at the Achievement Furnisher.
- Added new furnishings as rare drops from containers in ancestral tombs.
- Removed collision from several new carpets that should not have had collision.
- Several of the new benches now seat four player characters.
- Fixed an issue where some new chairs would not allow you to sit in them unless you placed them slightly above the ground.
- Purple and Gold quality housing items from Morrowind now require confirmation before you delete them.
- Adjusted the lighting for several new furnishings.
- Fixed some icon-related issues for several furnishings.
- Fixed an issue that caused some new furnishings to have slightly different sell values than intended.

Homes
- Fixed an issue that prevented one of the entrances to Amaya Lake Lodge from being used.
- Fixed an issue where it could rain inside the Ald Velothi Harbor House.
- The Amaya Lake Lodge now displays the correct image when previewing it in the Collections window when using Gamepad Mode.
- Removed an extra candle from the Saint Delyn Penthouse.
Housing Editor
- Added new foliage items to the Purchase tab of the Housing Editor.
Quests & Zones[edit]
General The location of the Stablemaster in Balmora is now properly placed. The location of the Shadowy Supplier is now displayed on the Vivec City Outlaw Refuge map. You will no longer be able to jump to a friend in the Vivec City Outlaw Refuge. Adjusted the balance of several bosses in Vvardenfell, listed below. Some are stronger, while others have been reduced in power. Captain Cedus Captain Flaeus Warden Libo Xykenaz Vivec's loin cloth is now better behaved. Oh my! After all these years, the Ashlanders have finally learned that trying to eat while wearing facemasks is a bad idea. Fixed various VO/text mismatches, typos, visual effects and audio issues. Removed several instances of temporary text.
Delves Nchuleft no longer completes as soon as you discover it.
Quests
- A Hireling of House Telvanni:
- You will now only find the Scribbled Note if on quest.
- Enemies will no longer pursue through the closed gate in Zaintiraris.
- Magister Therana's arms will no longer twitch while they are crossed.
- An Armiger's Duty:
- Fixed an issue where you could receive quest items before you are supposed to have them.
- Gathering Evidence now properly shares with your group.
- Aymillo Alor is no longer naked and hairless. Yikes!
- Ancestral Adversity:
- The Grievous Twilight found in Dreloth tomb will now fight you appropriately.
- Narsis Dren has lost several of his superpowers, including the ability to run through walls, sink through stairs, and be in two places at once.
- The floor puzzle in Veloth tomb will now advance properly for all player characters when grouped.
- The hidden doors in the tomb now behave properly when you are in a group.
- Ancestral Ties: Fixed an issue where the quest step “Paying Respects at the Shrine” would skip ahead if you were in a group.
- Broken Bonds:
- This quest is no longer listed as “Main Story” in your journal.
- Captured slaves no longer have quest pins during the “Gather Fire Salts” and “Gather Kindlepitch” quest steps.
- Naryu will now proceed more smoothly into the second fight.
- Divine Conundrum:
- You will no longer see the visual effects for the divination ritual if it is triggered by another player character.
- Lifting the debris off the workers will no longer cause it to spin in place.
- Divine Restoration: The Clockwork Cores will now attack any player characters in its range instead of waiting to be attacked.
- Echoes of a Fallen House: Beckoner Morvayn no longer disappears after 5 seconds if you move out of his threat range.
- Family Reunion:
- Your quest progress will no longer become blocked if your character dies to Ferhara and her minions.
- All Warclaws in Ferhara's group will now die appropriately instead of just vanishing.
- Reduced the power of Warclaw Ferhara, making this NPC somewhat less deadly.
- Enemies will no longer attack you through a locked door.
- Hatching a Plan: The Bard's lute will no longer float from hand to hand.
- Magister Makes a Move: Florinna Avau will now actually stay rescued once you rescue her.
- Salothran Curse: Your quest progress will no longer be blocked on the quest step to defeat Orator Salothran.
- The Heart of a Telvanni:
- Your quest progress will no longer be blocked in Vassamsi Mine if you trigger a specific scene before completing the quest step to help the slaves escape.
- Arith Sendrul will no longer become invisible under certain conditions.
UI[edit]
General
- Fixed a typo in the System Mail you receive when you acquire the Morrowind Collector's Edition.
Battlegrounds
- You can now select a player and perform social actions (Whisper, Add Friend, etc.) from the Battleground scoreboard.
- The Death Recap will now display team icons next to other player character's names rather than their Alliance Rank icon.
- Fixed an issue where team names could display grammar tags on the loading screen.
- Fixed an issue where receiving a resurrection in a battleground after selecting Release would result in overlapping keybinds.
- Fixed an issue where text in the Battleground scoreboard could become corrupted.
Gamepad Mode
- The "Leave Battleground" button at the end of the match will now take a few seconds to activate. This will help prevent situations where actively fighting as the battleground ends could result in accidentally leaving the battleground immediately.

- Fixed an issue where your Stamina Recovery would not pause when holding Sprint and not moving. Stamina is still only drained while you are moving.
- The monsters summoned from the Summon Shade ability or the Maw of the Infernal Item Set will now respond to pet commands and will change targets if you use a heavy attack.
- Fixed an issue where NPCs would always detect you when you were sneaking around them.
Nightblade
- Assassination
- Death Stroke: Fixed an issue where this ability and the Soul Harvest morph's damage was being mitigated off the target's Physical Resistance instead of their Spell Resistance.
Siphoning

- Leeching Strikes (Siphoning Strikes morph): This morph now restores less Stamina per Light or Heavy Attack, but now restores a significant amount of Stamina when the effect ends.
- Siphoning Attacks (Siphoning Strikes morph): This morph now restores less Magicka per Light or Heavy Attack, but now restores a significant amount of Magicka when the effect ends.
- Siphoning Strikes: Reduced the cost of this ability and its morphs by approximately 50%.
- Developer Comments: While the overall resources restored by the Siphoning Strikes abilities and morphs should remain roughly the same, these changes make the abilities more consistent and convenient for all Nightblades. They now take fewer attacks to recoup the cost, and can be activated when you are near-empty on resources. They are also more effective even if you are not perfectly weaving Light Attacks which is desirable for tanks and healers who spend more time blocking or healing.
Sorcerer
- Dark Magic
- Crystal Fragments (Crystal Shard morph): Reduced the damage bonus of this morph's instant-cast proc to 10% from 20%.
- Developer Comments: Sorcerer's sustained damage in PvE and burst damage in PvP is currently too high, so reducing the damage bonus from Crystal Fragments brings them down slightly in both areas without being too punishing to the overall damage kit.
- Crystal Fragments (Crystal Shard morph): Reduced the damage bonus of this morph's instant-cast proc to 10% from 20%.
- Storm Calling
- Bolt Escape: Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs could fail to function in some locations.
Templar
- Aedric Spear
- Blazing Spear (Spear Shards morph): This morph now increases the damage over time by approximately 30% as a morph effect.
- Luminous Shards (Spear Shards morph): This morph now causes the synergy to always restore Magicka and Stamina. It restores the current value of Magicka or Stamina to your highest maximum, and half of that value to the opposite resource.
- Spear Shards: This ability and the Luminous Shard morph no longer disorient an enemy. It also now deals moderate additional damage over time after the spear lands.
- Developer Comments: There are three main goals behind the changes to Spear Shards and its morphs. First, we want the design of Spear Shards to be more clearly focused – it's a powerful area of effect damage ability with a prominent synergy. Templars still have crowd control options with other abilities such as Piercing Javelin, Eclipse, and Focused Charge. This also prevents scenarios where the disorient on this ability would be a detriment; since Spear Shards could proc Burning Light, there would frequently be situations where the disorient broke immediately and gave your enemy a “free” crowd control immunity.

- Second, we wanted to lower the damage gap between the Luminous Shards and Blazing Spear morph choices. Blazing Spear is still ideal for raw damage, but it is no longer such a prominent difference; you won't feel as penalized if you want to sacrifice some damage to have better group utility.

- Finally, we've buffed the Luminous Shard synergy to return more resources. While this synergy still shares a cooldown with Necrotic Orb, it allows Templars to have a more distinct version of the synergy without making it mandatory in end-game group content.
- Piercing Javelin: Increased the knockback range of this ability and its morphs to 8 meters from 5 meters.
- Developer Comments: Increasing the knockback distance of these abilities gives them a stronger niche from other crowd control abilities, and also opens up more opportunities for using that knockback with deadly results in areas with treacherous terrain (such as Battlegrounds).

- Dawn's Wrath
- Backlash: Fixed an issue where the final damage dealt by this ability and its morphs was not respecting its damage limit when used against damage shields.
- Restoring Light
- Rushed Ceremony: Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs would occasionally not display their full animation.
Weapon
- Destruction Staff
- Tri Focus: This passive's splash damage with Lightning Staves is no longer increased by damage modifiers.
- Developer Comments: Area of Effect damage with Lightning Staff Heavy Attacks is currently too high, due to how the splash damage from Tri Focus “double dips” in damage modifiers; the damage modifier would first multiply the Heavy Attack damage, then also multiply the Tri Focus splash damage. This resulted in the splash damage being higher than the damage on the initial target, instead of the intended 100%.
- Tri Focus: This passive's splash damage with Lightning Staves is no longer increased by damage modifiers.
Guild
- Fighters Guild
- Dawnbreaker: Fixed an issue where the damage from this ability and its morphs was being mitigated off the target's Spell Resistance instead of their Physical Resistance.
Champion System
- The Apprentice
- Spell Erosion: Fixed an issue where this Champion passive was not functioning.
- The Ritual
- Piercing: Fixed an issue where this Champion passive was not functioning.

Crafting Writs
- Fixed an issue that could prevent crafting writs from being completed.
Furniture Crafting
- Furnishing plans at crafting stations are now correctly alphabetized in the English game client.
- Furnishing plans at crafting stations will be slightly reorganized for German, French, and Japanese game clients.
- In general, similar styles will be grouped together.
Provisioning
- Fixed an issue that prevented visual effects from displaying when you consumed certain drinks.
Crown Store & Crown Crates[edit]
General
- Fixed an issue where Ald Velothi and the Amaya Lake House were incorrectly categorized as Notable in the Crown Store. They are now in the Classic category as intended.
- Removed redundant text from several Crown Store and Crown Crate consumables.
Mementos
- Fixed an issue where the Floral Swirl Aura's cooldown was much shorter than its duration, allowing other Mementos to play on top of its effects. The Floral Swirl Aura Memento's cooldown is now 25 seconds.

Alliance War
- Fixed an issue where the Keep Information panel could get stuck on your screen after leaving the Cyrodiil map.
Bank
- Fixed an issue where you could still add additional items to an overfull bank under certain circumstances.
- Added a UI tutorial for when your bank is filled beyond its capacity.
- The tutorial for your bank becoming full now appears the moment your bank becomes full, instead of waiting for you to exit the bank UI.
Collections
- Collectible furnishings now indicate that they are Furnishings instead of Busts.
- Collectibles that are restricted by zone will now display error text in their tooltip.
- Fixed a UI error that could appear after acquiring new Collectibles.
Crown Store
- Entering the Crown Store will now dismount and un-stealth you due to a number of scenarios that could break the preview function.
Gameplay
- Healing values in ability tooltips will now include the bonus received from the Powered trait.
